Romney Tweed produces the finest quality worsted cloth for premium markets in apparel and soft furnishings. It is woven from two-ply yarn spun from durable and hardwearing single breed English wool, which is fully farm traceable. Top quality Romney fleeces are identified for Romney Tweed through British Wool’s grading system

Paying homage to the villages, towns and churches of the Romney Marsh area, our Heritage Collection displays the fine artistry of high-quality worsted yarn whilst celebrating the local community spirit

The refreshing charm of the Romney Marsh coast is the inspiration behind our Coastal Collection tweed fabrics, designed to represent the ever-changing nature of the sea and marshy land it touches. We look to the sea, sky and land in further detail, focussing in on the flora found along the coastline

Described as ‘the fifth quarter of the world’, the rich history of the Romney Marsh was the catalyst for the founding of Romney Tweed in 2014. We are proud to showcase this through the Prospect Collection; a love letter to one of Dungeness’ and one of the most significant landmarks of this special area of the Marsh

Our collection is named after and inspired by Prospect Cottage, located on the coast in Dungeness. Originally a fisherman’s hut, the house was bought by the late filmmaker Derek Jarman in 1984 and transformed over the years to include a rich and awe-inspiring garden which showcased vivid colours and sculptures, in contrast to the bare shingle

With its calm, grounding tones, the Landscape Collection reminds one of the seasons , the hope of the coming Spring, a sun-kissed Summer, the Autumn harvest, and dark winter skies. The herringbone tweeds, with their soft handle and light drape, bridge the seasons perfectly, providing elegant cloth for suiting, interiors, and accessories
